Assistant Head of School

Full time, permanent 

£60,698 per annum

Treloar School is a leading Centre for physically disabled young people and the School aims to enable all our learners to achieve their long-term goals.    We provide highly personalised and bespoke learning, therapy and care to our students, giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.   

As Assistant Head of School you will work supportively with the Head of School in; ensuring high quality teaching and learning, maintaining high quality behaviour, leading staff, and working strategically to ensure we are striving for excellence for our whole school community. The senior leadership team place an emphasis on being outward looking and aim to learn from others whilst sharing best practice with colleagues.

A core purpose of this role will be to provide vision, strategic direction and leadership on students progress. You will be experienced in implementing and adapting secondary curriculum while ensuring that any accreditations and qualifications continue to meet the needs of our students.

Applicants should hold a Qualified Teacher Status and a degree level qualification or equivalent. They must have management experience and demonstrate an excellent understanding of the special education sector. You will have an empathetic approach to children with special educational needs and disabilities in both day students and those in our residential environment. You will appreciate the key role that therapeutic interventions have in helping young people to achieve their aim of placement.
