Housekeeper

Looking for a rewarding termtime role in a supportive residential setting?

We are looking to recruit a Housekeeper to join our residential house, Wessex. The Housekeeper will maintain the daytoday tidiness and cleanliness of the house, including students’ bedrooms and communal areas. They will also manage, order and distribute laundry, linen, stores and key stock items, as well as assist with students’ personal laundry.

The successful candidate should have a good general level of education, basic computing knowledge, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. They should be able to work under the direction of the House Manager and Senior Housekeeper, and confidently prioritise their own workload.

Previous experience in a caring environment would be beneficial. The job holder must be able to work independently and demonstrate good organisational skills.

Hours: 25 hours per week (termtime only), 9am–2pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility will be required at the beginning and end of term.

Salary: £14,194 per annum (FTE £23,846)
