A unique opportunity to teach Science differently — and make a real impact

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated and supportive teaching team at Treloar School. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science Teacher — a role that offers far more than teaching Science. It’s a chance to develop specialist expertise while working with physically disabled young people with complex needs, alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team.

At Treloar’s, Science is taught creatively and accessibly. You’ll deliver engaging lessons from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2, developing creative approaches that remove barriers and build confidence, independence and scientific understanding.

A professional development opportunity like no other

In this role, you will:

  • gain experience adapting practical and theoretical learning for students with a wide range of physical, communication and learning needs
  • develop expertise in adaptive teaching, accessibility and personalised learning.
  • learn how technology, communication systems and specialist equipment can transform learning
  • work within a highly collaborative team where innovation and problem‑solving are encouraged
  • work closely with specialist teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and support staff who share a commitment to helping every student achieve more than they thought possible

Whether you are an experienced teacher looking to broaden your practice or someone considering a future career in SEND, this role offers invaluable professional development in an environment where collaboration, innovation and high aspirations are at the heart of everything we do.

Qualified Teacher Status is essential, along with strong subject knowledge and experience in either mainstream or specialist education.

What we can offer you:

  • Enhance your professional practice through extensive training and development opportunities
  • Pension scheme, life insurance and critical illness cover
  • HSF cash plan and Perkbox discount scheme
  • Occupational health scheme
  • Free parking
  • Term time only contract
  • Free wellbeing and social activities
